KFC Releasing Donut Chicken Sandwich Nationwide on Monday

In the midst of winter storms, fears of the coronavirus, the aftermath of the Australian wildfires and the mad dash for last-minute tax help, we could all use a little good news. And if you happen to live near both a KFC and a doughnut shop, and just can’t decide which of the two to choose from on most days, you’re in luck. Starting on Monday, KFC has announced that their new Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich will be hitting their menus.

Not only will you have the option of purchasing the sandwich as a meal, but you can also order a doughnut separately for an additional cost. During the original announcement of the donut chicken sandwich, KFC stated:

“KFC is no stranger to delicious food combinations and sweet deals, most recently introducing the limited-time offerings of Cinnabon Dessert Biscuits this past May, [and] Kentucky Fried Chicken & Waffles in November 2018.”

President Trump Bashes Best Picture Oscar Win

Even though Parasite won Best Picture at the Oscars, President Trump clearly doesn’t share the same enthusiasm for the winning film. During a rally in Colorado on Thursday, Trump criticized the movie and seemed to object to an international film with subtitles being able to take the top prize.

Perhaps the Oscar bashing is meant to distract from the fact that the president still hasn’t released his taxes? I suppose talking about tax preparation software wouldn’t make for a rousing rally, but hating on Bong Joon Ho’s acclaimed film seems like a strange choice, too.

“How bad were the Academy Awards this year? Did you see it? And the winner is… a movie from South Korea! What the h*ll was that all about?” Trump asked.

“We got enough problems with South Korea with trade. On top of it, they give him best movie of the year? Was it good? I don’t know. Let’s get Gone With the Wind. Can we get Gone With the Wind back, please? Sunset Boulevard. So many great movies.

“The winner is from South Korea. I thought it was Best Foreign Film, right? Best Foreign Movie? Did this ever happen before?”

Neon, Parasite‘s U.S. distributor, took a shot back at Trump on Twitter, writing, “Understandable, he can’t read.”
