President Trump is calling for Joe Biden to be drug tested before the first presidential debate next month. Trump claims that he noticed a sudden improvement in one of Biden’s primary debates in March against Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Next month President Donald Trump is slated for his first debate against Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Trump is now requesting that Joe Biden be drug tested before that happens, because he claims Biden had a sudden improvement in a performance in a primary debate against Bernie Sanders in March.
However, Trump offered no evidence to support his claim. Biden appeared in 11 debates, most of which involved a crowd of contenders. The last debate happened on March 15 against Sanders alone.
“Nobody thought that he was even going to win,” said Trump. “Because his debate performances were so bad. Frankly, his best performance was against Bernie. We’re going to call for a drug test, by the way, because his best performance was against Bernie.
“It wasn’t that he was Winston Churchill, because he wasn’t. But, it was a normal, boring debate. You know, nothing amazing happened. And we are going to call for a drug test because there’s no way… you can’t do that.”
He went on to say, “I don’t know how he could have been so incompetent in his debate performances and then all of a sudden be OK against Bernie. My point is, if you go back and watch some of those numerous debates, he was so bad. He wasn’t even coherent. And against Bernie, he was. And we’re calling for a drug test.”
Trump did not say how he would officially make his drug test request, or to whom.

The president said he didn’t have any inside knowledge of Biden’s campaign, and that he was going off of his own observations alone.
“All I can tell you is that I’m pretty good at this stuff,” said Trump. So far, the Biden campaign has not responded to a request for comment.
He and Biden will be squaring off against each other at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland on Sept. 29.
