“Hi folks, I want to bring you up to speed on something that’s happened today which is that I’ve developed mild symptoms of the coronavirus.

“That’s to say, a temperature and a persistent cough and on the advice of the chief medical officer, I’ve taken a test that has come out positive. So, I am working from home and self-isolating, and that’s entirely the right thing to do.”

“But, be in no doubt that I can continue, thanks to the wizardly of modern technology: to communicate with all my top team, to lead the national fight back against coronavirus,” said Johnson.

A spokesman for No. 10 Downing Street said in a statement that “the test was carried out in No. 10 by [National Health Service] staff and the result was positive. In keeping with the guidance, the Prime Minister is self-isolating in Downing Street.”

World Leaders Taking Action to Stay Safe From Coronavirus

Johnson’s diagnosis follows Prince Charles recently announcing that he, too, has tested positive for COVID-19. Similarly, this has caused other world leaders to start taking precautions as well.

For example, German Chancellor Angela Merkel is in self-quarantine. She was tested once and it was negative, but there are more tests to come. Queen Elizabeth, too, has taken up residence in Windsor Castle after one of the 93-year-old’s aides tested positive.

Last week, the White House announced that the June meeting of the Group of Seven Nations will be held via video conference instead of at Camp David.

As a result, the general public is also concerned and are asking themselves if price gouging might take place when it comes to humira medicare cost and in other areas as a result of COVID-19.
