A woman claims her week-long vacation in Tenerife, Spain was ruined thanks to a beautician giving her “Angry Birds” eyebrows.
37-year-old Colline Rees, a mother of three, spent over $3,500 on the holiday trip for her family. One day before leaving, she also had her eyebrows done – something she certainly regretted.
After the beautician botched her brow tint and reshape, Rees said she “didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.” It was clear from her family’s comments that she resembled “something out of the Angry Birds game.”
Unfortunately for Rees, her usual beautician was busy, so she had to settle for a trainee instead.
After the reshaping portion of her eyebrow treatment, red flags began to fly. The beautician-in-training explained that she needed to add some pencil to the woman’s brows. That’s when Rees realized she was missing most of her left eyebrow.
As someone who has struggled with alopecia, a botched eyebrow wax was the last thing Rees was prepared to see.
The trainee admitted her mistakes and apologized, but that didn’t help the situation. Rees was left crying, asking that someone fix her badly botched brows.
Soon, someone else stepped in and attempted to rectify the disaster with some tinting.
The result? Thick, black, drawn-on brows – and swelling from an allergic reaction to the dye, too.
Rees says she’ll never be getting her brows done at the salon again – and that it took 9 months for them to fully grow back.
