Warren Says Yes to Role of Biden’s Vice President; March 2020 First March Since 2002 Without a School Shooting; and Ricky Gervais Tells Celebs to Stop Complaining From Their Mansions.
On Wednesday, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow asked Elizabeth Warren if she’d be willing to become Joe Biden’s Vice President if asked.
“If he asked you to be his running mate, would you say yes?” said Maddow.
Warren replied, “Yes. We both want the same thing. We want this country to work, and we want it to work for everyone. He’s a man who has a good heart, and that’s what we need in a leader–someone who is steady, who is prepared, but ultimately who cares not just about himself, but cares about everyone else.”
Warren continued, “That’s what is going to get us through a crisis. That’s what is going to help us rebuild this country.”
Biden was recently endorsed by both Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. “Among all the other candidates I competed with in the Democratic primary, there’s no one I’ve agreed with 1000 percent of the time over the years,” said Warren.
“But one thing I appreciate about Joe Biden is he will always tell you where he stands,” she continued.

It has been nearly two decades since the month of March hasn’t experienced a school shooting. The National School Safety and Security Services and National School Safety Center have confirmed that there have been school shootings every March since 2002.
On the flip side, gun dealers are saying that they’ve seen an increase in gun sales. This is because their customers are seeking protection during the quarantine.
This is causing some gun safety advocates to worry that there might be an increase in school shootings when students return to classes.
Igor Volsky, the Guns Down America executive director said:
“When this pandemic ends and we emerge from this physical distancing reality, the guns will remain. Will there be increased mass shootings, school shootings, shootings at home, at concerts?”

Many celebrities have been posting online to lament the lockdown measures. For example, Sam Smith recently broke down in tears in an Instagram post. In it, he complained about the lockdown from his $23.5 million home.
However, not all celebrities share this same sentiment. In an exclusive interview with The Sun, funnyman Ricky Gervais said:
“After this is over I never want to hear people moaning about the welfare state again, I never want to hear people moaning about nurses again. Or porters.
“These people are doing 14-hour shifts and not complaining. Wearing masks and being left with sores, after risking their own health and their families’ health selflessly.
“But then I see someone complaining about being in a mansion with a swimming pool. And you know, honestly, I just don’t want to hear it.”
And Gervais has a point. Most Americans have been cutting costs, searching for the cheapest phone plans and doing everything they can to make it through the ongoing pandemic.
