Tucker Carlson Accuses New York Times of Trying to Hurt his Family; and Trump Says Cuomo Must Squash NYC Crime or He’ll Step In.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson accused The New York Times of trying to “inflict pain” on and “injure” his family because they did a story on where he lives. Carlson said there is “no conceivable justification for a story like that.”
“So, why is The New York Times doing a story on the location of my family’s house? Well, you know why. To hurt us, to injure my wife and kids so that I will shut up and stop disagreeing with them. They believe in force. We’ve learned that,” said Carlson.
Carlson then issued a threat to people working on the story.
“What if we publicize the home address of every one of the soulless robot editors of The New York Times who assigned and manage this incitement to violence against my family? What about the media editor, Jim Windolf? We could do that. We know who they are. Will that qualify as journalism?”
The New York Times issued a statement after Carlson’s accusation, denying that they planned to publish the address for any of Carlson’s homes.
“While we do not confirm what may or may not publish in future editions, The Times has not and does not plan to expose any residence of Tucker Carlson’s, which Carlson was aware of before tonight’s broadcast.”

Following a story from The Post’s front page, President Trump threatened that if Gov. Andrew Cuomo didn’t squash a spike of crime in New York City, that he’d send in federal authorities to do the job. Trump spoke specifically about reports of a Brooklyn woman, Shatavia Walls, 33, who was shot to death after complaining about fireworks.
“We can’t let this happen to the cities. New York was up 348 percent, the crime wave. So, the governor has to do something about it. And if the governor is not going to do something about it, we’ll do something about it.
“But what’s happening in New York, a place I love–I love New York. Look at what’s going on over there. The woman who was shot because she said, ‘Could you please not light off firecrackers?’ And they turned around and shot her eight times and she died. That’s not our civilization, that’s not about us,” Trump said to reporters.
“And then the police are afraid to do anything. I know New York very well, I know the police very well, New York’s Finest, and the fact is, they’re restricted from doing anything, they can’t do anything.”
Trump then mentioned how federal authorities have been handling Portland, which Portland authorities oppose since they believe tensions have escalated as a direct result.
“We’re going to have more federal law enforcement, that I can tell you,” said Trump. “In Portland, they’ve done a fantastic job. They’ve been there three days.”
While Trump hasn’t yet mentioned the matter on Twitter, one has to wonder if he’s had to seek finger arthritis treatment for how often he posts on a daily basis.
