President Donald Trump seems to have it out for “The Squad,” so imagine his reaction when he learned that he has a lower approval rating than all four of them.
The Squad is comprised of four Democratic congresswomen of color: Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ayanna Pressley. They are known as prominent campaigners against Trump’s administration.
Trump’s Approval Rating Comes in Lower Than the Squad
According to a new The Economist/YouGov poll conducted with 1,500 U.S. adult citizens, Trump’s net approval rating, excluding “don’t knows,” was -11. The Squad all also had negative approval ratings, but they were significantly better than Trump’s. Ocasio-Cortez’s approval rating was -3, Omar’s was -6, Tlaib’s was -3, and Pressley’s was -3.
Trump recently made a racist tweet directed at the four women, targeting them for their ethnic backgrounds and telling them to “go back” to the “totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”
After the infamous tweet, his supporters at a rally started chanting “send her back” as Trump launched into a series of false accusations against Omar.
