Trump Pushes for Putin Meeting Before November Election, and Trump Admin to Host Nightly Recap to Highlight ‘Radical Socialism’ of the left.
According to four people familiar with the subject, President Donald Trump told aides he’d like to have an in-person meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He wants the meeting to take place before the November election.
Administration officials are exploring various locations and times for a Trump-Putin summit. Sources say it could potentially happen in New York next month.
The goal of the summit? For the two leaders to announce progress toward a new nuclear arms control agreement between Russia and the United States. However, a person familiar with the discussion said another reason is because Trump wants to show off.
“He wants it to show his deal-maker abilities,” said the person. “It’s just a big stage.”
However, national security adviser Robert O’Brien insists that Trump hasn’t asked for a meeting. He says Trump instead hopes to host Putin to sign the new arms agreement.
“We’re not doing a meeting with Putin in the United States, but at some time we’d love to have Putin come here to sign a terrific arms control deal that protects Americans and protects Russians,” said O’Brien.

While Trump’s sharp criticism in the Obama era virtually centered around the then-president ordering a birth certificate online, he’s taking a far different approach on future opponent Biden in 2020.
The Trump campaign is planning a nightly recap to highlight the “radical socialism” of the left, according to Fox News. An official from the campaign said that the name of the program will be “The Real Joe Biden.” It will be a recap of the nightly Democratic Convention events.
The commentary from Team Trump will happen at 11 pm each night. The show will aim to “break down everything Team Trump saw throughout the night.”
“The radical, leftist takeover of Joe Biden is complete and Team Trump will be exposing that truth with nightly programming,” said Ali Pardo, the Deputy Communications Director for the Trump Campaign to Fox News. “Democrats won’t be honest about Biden at their convention, so we will be.”
These efforts are coming into play as the Trump campaign tries to “outshine” the Democrats during their convention week. Republicans have a “multi-pronged response” in place, according to Republican National Committee Chairwoman, Ronna McDaniel.
