Oprah Winfrey Declares Election Day Holiday for Her Employees

Election Day is important to Oprah Winfrey. As a result, she’s giving employees at her network that day off. November 3 will be a company holiday, and Oprah says she hopes to honor “those who fought and continue to fight for our rights.”

“This will give my team the necessary time to put on their masks, get to the polls, cast their ballots and volunteer,” she said on Instagram.

“I challenge other companies to do the same, because this might be the most important election of our lives. Together we can overcome all obstacles in order to exercise our right to vote.”

750 Million Genetically Altered Mosquitoes Being Released in Florida

750 million genetically altered mosquitoes will be released into the Florida Keys, if all goes accordingly to plan. Local authorities approved the plan despite objection from many local residents and a coalition of environmental advocacy groups.

“With all the urgent crises facing our nation and the State of Florida–the Covid-19 pandemic, racial injustice, climate change–the administration has used tax dollars and government resources for a Jurassic Park experiment,” said Jaydee Hanson.

Hanson is the policy director for the International Center for Technology Assessment and Center for Food Safety.

“Now the Monroe County Mosquito Control District has given the final permission needed. What could possibly go wrong? We don’t know, because EPA unlawfully refused to seriously analyze environmental risks, now without further review of the risks. The experiment can proceed,” she added.

Trump Calls for Goodyear Boycott After They Allegedly Ban MAGA Hats

President Trump pushed a boycott on Goodyear tires to his supporters on Wednesday. This happened after Goodyear allegedly banned MAGA hats and other conservative attire within their company.

“Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES–They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS. Get better tires for far less! (This is what the Radical Left Democrats do. Two can play the same game, and we have to start playing it now!),” Trump tweeted.

As a result, the tweet sparked outrage online. For example, Dr. Eugene Gu tweeted:

“The President of the United States is so petty and vengeful that after Goodyear Tires announced a ban on MAGA hats, Trump feels compelled to lash out on them on Twitter and try to start a boycott movement. This man is in charge of our nuclear codes, yet acts like a spoiled baby.”

However, Goodyear responded with a lengthy statement. As a matter of fact, employees are asked to refrain from showing support of any candidate or political party.
