Michael Moore has some strong opinions on the 2020 election. After the documentary filmmaker called Donald Trump’s ascent to power an embarrassment, he also explained his “three-point plan.”
Moore says there are three critical keys to beating Trump in the upcoming election.
First, he says, Democrats have to move forward with articles of impeachment. There needs to be “a historical record,” he explains.
Secondly, he believes there should be ballot initiatives like free college and raising the federal minimum wage. He says things like the legalization of marijuana will help increase the youth vote, too.
Lastly, Moore says there needs to be a candidate “who is beloved by the American people.” He further explains that it should be someone “who’s not a politician, somebody who’s going to win.”
That person, he believes, is Michelle Obama.
Moore says it isn’t enough to simply beat Trump in the popular vote – Hillary Clinton already did that. Rather, he suggests it is necessary to “crush Trump.”
While he believes four of the current candidates could win the popular vote, he thinks Obama could take the election. In other words – she could defeat Trump and actually win the presidency.
Of course, Obama is not running for president – or, as he says, she “hasn’t announced yet.”
That’s not to suggest she will, but he thinks she should be asked to serve.
“Your country needs you,” Moore says, suggesting what should be said to convince her.
“If asked to serve, I believe she would serve,” he adds.
