Fall is upon us and there is no better time to bring the scents of fall right into your own home. All you need are a few ingredients and a small pot, small crockpot or potpourri burner to make your home smell amazing.
Simmering Fall
- ½ Orange, sliced
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks, broken into two halves
- ½ Cup Fresh Cranberries
- 1 Tsp Nutmeg
- 1 Tsp Cloves
Williams Sonoma Signature Scent
- 1 Lemon, sliced
- 2 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
Fall is in the Air
- ½ Lemon, sliced thin
- ½ Apple, sliced
- ½Cinnamon Stick
- 2 Tbsp Whole Cloves
- 1 Tsp vanilla extract
Orange Spice
- 1 Apple, sliced
- 2 Tbsp Ground Nutmeg
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 2 Tbsp Whole Cloves
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 Tbsp Orange Zest
Lavender Spice
- 4 Tbsp Dried Lavender
- 1 Tbsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp Whole Clove
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
Orange Cranberry
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 Tbsp Whole Cloves
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla
- 1 Cup Fresh Cranberries
- 1 Orange Rind (You can eat the orange!)
Vanilla Rosemary
- 5 Bay Leaves
- 1 Orange, sliced
- 1 Large Sprig Rosemary
- 2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
For each of the above mixtures, add all of the ingredients and fill your pot to approximately 1” below the rim. Turn the heat on (low) and let the aromas fill your home with the happiness of fall!
For a ‘woodsy’ twist to any of above, add a few drops of cedar wood essential oil!
***The water will evaporate so be sure to check it every 30-60 minutes and add more water as needed.
