Clinton warned that the election results will be “close.” She suggested that Republicans will try “messing up absentee balloting” in an effort to tamper with the results.
Hillary Clinton spoke out during an interview released on Tuesday, issuing a warning for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. She said no matter what, Joe Biden should not concede the election to Donald Trump.
“Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances,” said Clinton. “Because I think this is going to drag out and eventually, I do believe he will win, if we don’t give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is.”
In 2016, Clinton lost the election against Donald Trump despite winning the popular vote by 2,864,974. It was the largest popular vote margin of any losing presidential candidate in US history, according to The Associated Press.
Currently, polls by RealClearPolitics show Biden leading Trump by more than 7 percentage points nationally.
However, Clinton still believes the election will be “close,” and that Republicans will tamper with results by “messing up absentee balloting” in an effort to secure a narrow advantage in the Electoral College.
“We’ve got to have a massive legal operation,” said Clinton. “And I know the Biden campaign is working on that.” It sounds like the employee time sheet for those involved is going to rack up quite a bit of hours.

The White House has been accused by Democratic leaders of trying to suppress votes and hamper mail delivery. At the end of July, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that Trump is attacking voting by mail as part of a broader effort to suppress voter turnout and to sow confusion during the election.
“The reason he does it is because the more people hear something like that, the more they’re discouraged to vote,” said Pelosi during an interview with CNN. “It’s a way to suppress the vote.”
Former President Barack Obama echoed that sentiment in mid-August in a tweet:
“Everyone depends on the USPS. Seniors for their Social Security, veterans for their prescriptions, small businesses trying to keep their doors open,” wrote Obama. “They can’t be collateral damage for an administration more concerned with suppressing the vote than suppressing a virus.”
