George Floyd’s Daughter Becomes Disney Stock Shareholder

Barbra Streisand gave George Floyd’s daughter something pretty incredible. Thanks to Streisand, Floyd’s daughter, Gianna, is now a Disney stock shareholder.

6-year-old Gianna Floyd posted about Streisand’s gesture on her personal Instagram account. She said, “Thank You @barbrastreisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you 🥰🥰🥰.”

Gianna’s father was recently killed in an act of police brutality that sparked protests across the world.

It isn’t clear how many shares Gianna was given, but we’re guessing it was a fair amount. Disney shares typically go for about $115 each, and Wall Street history shows that Disney is a fairly solid investment.

Streisand isn’t the only celebrity who has stepped forward to help Gianna and her family. Texas Southern University in Houston has offered her a full-ride scholarship, and Kanye West set up a college fund for her.

Kanye West also set up a $2 million fund that will go to the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery.

Kanye’s donation will also help fund legal fees for the three families and help support black-owned businesses in crisis. It will also help with other needs Gianna and the other families may have, such as dental care plans and grocery bills.

Not only that, but a GoFundMe page has been set up for Gianna as well. So far, it has raised over $2 million dollars.

Is the World Ending Next Week? Mayan Calendar Says Yes.

The Covid-19 pandemic when combined with hurricanes, locusts, and volcanic eruptions has left some people wondering if Armageddon is near. According to the Mayan calendar, they might be right!

According to a conspiracy theory on Twitter, we read the Mayan calendar incorrectly when we thought it said the world would end on December 21, 2012.

Now they’re saying that the real doomsday will happen sometime this week or the next.

“Following the Julian Calendar, we are technically in 2012… The number of days lost in a year due to the shift into Gregorian Calendar is 11 days… For 268 years using the Gregorian Calendar (1752-2020) times 11 days = 2,948 days. 2,948 days / 365 days (per year) = 8 years,” scientist Paolo Tagaloguin tweeted last week.

The tweets have since been deleted.
