People are going crazy with excitement over the news that – finally – a healthy on-the-go breakfast is available, coming with the announcement of two new breakfast bowls from Dunkin’ Donuts.
Now there’s a good alternative to skipping the doughnuts in place of an equally delicious breakfast-on-the run that’s much better for you.
The first new item on Dunkin’ Donuts’ menu is the Egg White Bowl, which features egg whites (no yolks), spinach, roasted potatoes, caramelized onions and cheddar cheese. It comes in at a low 250 calories, while an offering 14 grams of protein. Of course, for serious dieters, you have the option of leaving out the cheese for even fewer calories and fat.
The second new breakfast menu item is the Sausage Scrambled Bowl. This bowl comes with scrambled eggs (with yolks), sausage, peppers, onions and cheddar-jack cheese. It’s a little heavier on the calorie count at 450 calories while packing a whopping 21 grams of protein – but overall it’s still a relatively low amount of calories, especially for moderately active people.
