A horrible accident has claimed the life of this country singer’s two-year-old daughter. The singer and his wife shared the sad news of the accidental loss on social media on October 27, as well as through the singer’s official website.
Fans and family offered up an outpouring of condolences and warm words, though these are cold comfort in the face of tragedy.
Country singer Ned LeDoux, son of the late, great Chris LeDoux, shared the awful news of his toddler’s accidental death on Sunday. Ned and wife Morgan posted on Ned’s official website, as well as on social media like Facebook.
“It is with great sadness that Ned & Morgan inform friends and fans that their two year old daughter Haven passed away on October 20th due to a tragic choking accident in the home,” the Facebook post ran, “The LeDoux family appreciates your love and support and is requesting privacy at this time.” Fans were quick with words of support and sadness.
The family has requested some privacy at this time as they deal with the grief of what has happened. As such, there are scant details regarding what happened, aside from her loss being a choking accident.
The family offered a brief statement on the situation: “Paramedics were called to the family’s northeast Kansas home on October 20th and arrived quickly, but attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful,” keeping the brief statement vague and leaving out some details.
Ned LeDoux, a country singer, and guitarist is no stranger to tragedy, sadly. He first found stardom following the untimely passing of his father, Chris LeDoux, from cancer in 2005. Chris was also a country music singer and passed the baton on to his son.
Ned has stated publicly that keeping his dad’s image alive is a huge part of his goal with his career. “There’s an age group who doesn’t know who Chris LeDoux is and I just want to keep his name out there,” runs his about page.
“I want to reintroduce him to people who’ve maybe heard of him but didn’t know what he did. Just carry on his legacy and carry on his music and at the same time show them what I can do.”
