Stainless steel appliances have come to end.  Kitchen designs are opting for stylish finishes in rich hues. Brightly colored with gold accents is the new trend – not necessarily all in one color either!

Beyond Matching

The fresh clean look of a white kitchen is timeless, but designers across the country are opting for bright kitchens. Appliances and cabinets in bright blues, greens, golds, black, warm chestnut and even multi-colored (think printed) are the new trend.

People are bored with what is considered the heart of the home lacking character. And color.

Black is the New Grey

Back from the 80’s, black is replacing grey. Black has the unique ability of bringing vivid contrast to kitchens like no other color can do. Combine black appliances with gold finishes and warm brown tones and you have an elegant, updated kitchen with a twist all the way from the 80’s.

Gold is Back

For updates that don’t require remodeling the entire kitchen, add some gold! Let’s roll back to the 90’s when brass was all the rage. Gold has made a comeback with manufacturers and it’s not just the brass.

They are offering up a wide range of cabinet handles and pulls, kitchen sinks and faucets in gold patina’s, rose golds, bright golds and black golds. These colors are making their way to the high-end appliances as well.

I think it’s safe to say, the number one trend right now is COLOR. Consider adding different colors to your upper and lower cabinets, the kitchen island, the flooring – the possibilities are endless, and you don’t have to spend thousands to bring new life to your kitchen.

Go bold, go bright, go elegant – choose any one of these new trends and your kitchen will be screaming 2020!
