Bill Cosby Offers Support to Harvey Weinstein; Free Pancakes Today at IHOP, Enter “Pancakes for Life” Contest; and Apple Warns iPhone Users Not to Swipe Apps Closed.
After Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of rape and assault on Monday, Bill Cosby lent his support, asking, “where do wealthy and famous men find fairness,” before he went on to blast the #MeToo movement.
In a public statement on Bill Cosby’s Instagram, his spokesman, Andrew Wyatt, said:
“There’s no way you would have anyone believe that Mr. Weinstein was going to receive a fair and impartial trial. Also, this judge showed that he wanted a conviction by sending the jurors back to deliberate after they were hung on many of the counts”
“Here’s the question that should haunt all Americans, especially wealthy and famous men… Where do we go in this country to find fairness and impartiality in the judicial system; and where do we go in this country to find Due Process?”
It went on to read, “Lastly, if the #metoo movement isn’t just about Becky [White women], I would challenge #metoo and ask them to go back 400+ years ago and tarnish the names of those oppressors that raped slaves.”
“This is a very sad day in the American Judicial System.”

If you own an iPhone, you might close your apps periodically in an attempt to help your battery last longer. However, Apple is now saying that’s a bad idea if you value the life of your phone battery.
In other words, swiping to close iPhone apps can cause your battery to degrade more quickly and lead to less of a battery life overall, which is something you should keep in mind before falling for any phone deals.
“When your recently used apps appear, the apps aren’t open, but they’re in standby mode to help you navigate and multitask,” said Apple. “You should force an app to close only if it’s unresponsive.”
Gadget-focused journalist John Gruber wrote on his blog, Daring Fireball, “Not only does force quitting your apps not help, it actually hurts.”
“Your battery life will be worse and it will take much longer to switch apps if you force quit apps in the background.”
