Is Biden Choosing Kamala Harris as His VP Pick?; Daughter Builds Father a Pub So He Can Celebrate His Birthday During Lockdown; and People Are Leaving ‘Essential Items’ Out as a Thank You to Delivery Drivers.
Just hours after Bernie Sanders dropped out of the presidential race, Joe Biden held a virtual town hall. During the live stream, Biden praised Sanders for being a persistent and “passionate voice for progress” and for “energizing millions of supporters.”
“Earlier today my good friend Bernie Sanders announced he was suspending his campaign,” said Biden. “He didn’t just run a political campaign. He created a movement.”
Biden also made a surprising nod toward who could potentially become his pick for vice president.
At a virtual fundraiser event earlier in the day, Kamala Harris blasted Donald Trump as a “complete failure.” She said she believed that Biden would be the correct choice as president during a time when people “need to have hope… need to have faith.”
Biden responded in kind, saying, “I’m so lucky to have you be a part of this partnership going forward. Working together, we can make a great deal of progress. I’m coming for you, kid.”
It wouldn’t be surprising if Kamala did end up being Biden’s pick for VP considering he’s already gone on the record saying he will choose a woman for the role.

29-year-old Lottie Hiscox wanted to make her father’s birthday very special, despite being under lockdown thanks to the coronavirus.
“Listening to the very sound advice of the government to say home, we were a little sad we couldn’t celebrate my Dad’s birthday at our local pub,” she said in an interview with LADbible.
“So, I decided to take some IKEA [boxes] and wine boxes out of the recycling and set to work the night before, making a pop-up pub in his much-loved garden shed.”
The love that Lottie put into building the makeshift pub for her father really shows in the details.
“The traditional pub sign is inspired by my brother’s face, and we named it The Lord Ravensbourne as the river Ravensbourne runs through our garden.”
“I’ve hung up a dartboard which was gathering dust in the shed because every pub needs a dartboard, and the paintings were actually painted by myself whilst in isolation too.”
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Lottie’s father really loved his own personal pub.
“He was genuinely chuffed, and we had a fabulous day in the pub for him,” said Lottie.

As the coronavirus continues to spread, delivery drivers are providing an incredibly important service. As a thank you, some people are leaving out “essential items” as a thank you for the work that they’re doing despite the risks involved.
Some of the essential items include toilet paper, bottled water, and canned goods that the drivers might not have a steady supply of at home.
One driver posted an offering that someone left at their doorstep on Instagram. It read, “Thank you for being committed to the human race, we are depending on you! Take anything you want! Spread love! Stronger TOGETHER.”
The post was also captioned, “In a time when people are panicking and hoarding everything for no really good reason, these people are willingly giving it away.”
With the way the world is currently, times have changed. You can’t exactly rely on cloud services security guards or similar to deliver certain goods. Delivery drivers certainly deserve praise.
