As soon as the news started to spread about various celebrities being diagnosed with coronavirus, internet searches for Betty White started trending. What did those people want to know? If 98-year-old Betty White was safe from the coronavirus.

In fact, worry over Betty White having the coronavirus started to trend so much that one of her representatives issued a statement to TODAY on Thursday. It was short and sweet–just like Betty White.

It read: “Betty White is fine.”

Student Suspended for Selling ‘Squirts’ of Hand Sanitizer

The coronavirus is worrying students everywhere. Schools expect them to attend classes while their parents are told to work from home and avoid large groups. So what did one student do? He put down his cellphone, put on his thinking cap and started selling “squirts” of hand sanitizer to his friends.

Jenny Tompkins posted about what her son, who attends Dixons Unity Academy in Leeds, was doing on Facebook. It quickly gained almost 200,000 reactions and nearly 100,000 comments.

The enterprising young lad earned an entire $11 for his trouble. He used the money to purchase a bag of Doritos. The school expelled him after they learned about what he’d done.

Tom Hanks Shares Coronavirus Update While in Isolation

After testing positive for coronavirus, Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, have been quarantined. They are currently recovering from the virus. Hanks shared an update on Twitter about their condition.

It reads, “Hello folks. Rita Wilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else.

“There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one day at a time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?

“Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball. Hanx.”
