Bernie Sanders has once again won the crucial New Hampshire primary, after doing the same four years ago when he campaigned against Hillary Clinton. Sanders came in first at 25.7%.
Pete Buttigieg followed closely behind at 24.4%, with Amy Klobuchar surprisingly coming in third at 19.8% and Elizabeth Warren placing fourth at 9.3% at the time of writing.
With this current win in New Hampshire, Bernie Sanders is poised to become the dominant candidate in the first two states represented in the primary calendar. Sanders has kept a steady hold on his ever-widening group of supporters.
Bernie Sanders had a message for them during his New Hampshire victory speech.
“Let me say tonight, that this victory here is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”
Since Bernie Sanders is considered a more popular candidate among Latinx and black voters, what happens next in Nevada and South Carolina will be very telling. Nationally, he has picked up endorsements from some of the biggest names in Democratic politics.
His stance on many issues seems to be playing a big role. Many people like his desire to relieve people of college debt, to lessen income equality, to make healthcare more affordable and to help fight against climate change.

Buttigieg has been neck-in-neck with Sanders, but Sanders has won the raw vote count in both of the caucus rounds so far, even after Iowa completed their realignment process.
In New Hampshire, Sanders mentioned Buttigieg by name–a rarity for him. He noted that billionaires “by the dozen are contributing to Pete Buttigieg’s campaign. Now, I like Pete. He’s a smart guy, he’s a nice guy.
“But if we are serious about political change in America, that change is not going to be coming from somebody who gets a lot of money from the CEOs of the pharmaceutical industry,” he continued.
Andrew Yang told his supporters on Tuesday night that he was dropping out of the presidential race. The announcement of the New Hampshire primary results proved to Yang he doesn’t have the support to go forward.
“While there is great work left to be done, you know I am the math guy, and it is clear tonight from the numbers that we are not going to win this race. I am not someone who wants to accept donations and support in a race that we will not win.
“And so tonight, I am announcing I am suspending my campaign for president.”
Yang offered a warning to Democrats in December 2016.
“Democrats still have not asked themselves the hard questions as to how Donald Trump won in 2016. Trump is the cause of all of our problems. He’s a symptom and we need to cure the underlying disease.”
