This 33-year-old has decided to shun gender and the human race entirely, living as a genderless otherworldly being, instead.
Jareth Nebula was originally born as a woman, but transitioned to become a man at the age of 29. But after that, he decided that he just doesn’t fit into any gender or the human race.
Jareth first started feeling like he didn’t quite fit in when he was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which is a rare condition that results in stretchy skin and increased mobility in his joints. Although he was born with it, he wasn’t diagnosed until the age of 26. His unusual diagnosis helped him realize that he was completely different from other people.
He does not want to be seen as a male or female and prefers to be called “thing” or “it,” but he is also happy to be called “he or “him.” Jareth’s new look includes plenty of body modifications, including having his nipples removed completely. He also regularly shaves his eyebrows, has tattoos and piercings, and sets himself apart with alternative fashion.
It always seemed like he was trying to “fit into someone else’s box.” But these days, Jareth is happy to live as an alien with no gender, because he feels “otherworldly.”
