Recently an Amazon delivery person was caught on video pooping in a wooded area outside a woman’s home. It seems the man had jumped the fence, because clearly he just had to go.
Amazon has since responded in a statement that says they have “very high standards” regarding their delivery drivers. They claim to be “taking this matter seriously” and have also contacted the customer to “apologize for the experience.”
This is not the first time an Amazon courier has been caught defecating out in the open. Several years ago, a driver in California was found using the gutter outside a Sacramento County home.
However, when you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go.
Amazon has been harshly criticized recently for practices that force workers into non-ideal situations like this. Fearing the loss of their jobs, some warehouse workers say they feel required to urinate in bottles. Many assert that they must take extreme steps to efficiently maintain the high productivity standards imposed by the company.
