The Trump Company Is Asking the Trump Admin for Hotel Relief

With Trump’s D.C. hotel’s next lease payment of $3 million a year coming up, the Trump company is looking for financial relief from the president.

In recent weeks, an inquiry into changing the lease payments has been sought by the president’s family. And the landlord who gets to make that decision? The Trump administration.

President Trump’s son, Eric, runs the day-to-day operations of the hotel. He confirmed the details of the conversation regarding the lease terms.

The younger Trump released a statement on Tuesday saying, “Just treat us the same. Whatever that may be is fine.”

The Trump company has also been in talks with Deutsche Bank, seeking to have payments postponed on its loans from the bank.

President Trump owes the bank more than $300 million in loans that are connected to the Washington hotel, a skyscraper in downtown Chicago and his Doral golf resort in Florida.

Here’s hoping they have a good accounting program.

Warren Slams Trump for Turning a Health Crisis into a Political Rally

Sen. Elizabeth Warren slammed President Donald Trump on the way he has handled the COVID-19 outbreak during an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid on her show.

“He has failed abysmally in that, and he has also failed just in the notion of what he’s telling people, saying liberate, free Michigan, Virginia, encouraging people to come out and trying to turn this health crisis into a political rally for himself,” said Warren.

She added, “That is absolutely the wrong kind of leadership. It is the kind of leadership that puts lives at risk, and it is the kind of leadership that undermines the very strength of this country.”

Trump laid out a three-phase strategy to reopen parts of the country last week, but he then went after democratic governors who extended stay-at-home orders into May.
Trump tweeted that Minnesota, Michigan, and Virginia should be “liberated,” which encouraged protests for the states to reopen sooner.

“Right now, we have a president of the United States who thinks only about himself, who has no empathy for other human beings. Joe Biden is a man who cares about others,” said Elizabeth Warren.

“I want a man with a good heart making that decision and pulling people into that decision,” she added. “That’s why I support Joe Biden, and that’s why I’m glad to say it every chance I get.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Hit Streets of LA to Help the Needy

Los Angeles residents have spotted their new neighbors, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in the downtown streets. They continue to volunteer their time toward charity amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Both wore protective face masks and basketball caps as they delivered packages to residents from the back of their vehicle.

The couple recently moved to Los Angeles with their 11-month-old son, Archie. They have been delivering meals to the needy through the Project Angel Food charity in LA.

They are no longer considered to be senior royals after they formally stepped away from the monarchy on March 31.
