Tom Brady underwear pic causes stir

Newly single Tom Brady shocked the Internet this week by stripping down to his underwear for a selfie. The just-retired (for the second time) NFL quarterback posted to his Instagram and Twitter accounts on Monday, the New York Post and the Daily Mail reported. The seven-time Super Bowl champion, 45, apparently made the point that the pose was part of a previous wager.

“Deals a deal @bradybrand,” Brady captioned the post, which called out a men’s apparel line

Over 400 ready-to-eat food products recalled

Over 400 ready-to-eat food products sold under a dozen brand names have been recalled due to possible listeria contamination, the US food and drug administration (FDA) announced last Friday. The products are manufactured by Fresh Ideation Food Group LLC, and includes a number of sandwiches, salads, yogurts, wraps and other products sold in nine states and Washington, DC, from January 24 through January 30, CNN reported. No illnesses have been reported so far, according to the company.

Surgeon General says 13-year-olds too young to be on social media

The US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, while not mandating any official guidelines or advisory, nonetheless has caused some waves for expressing his personal opinion that he believes age 13 and younger is too young for children to be on social media platforms. Murthy said in an interview he believes being on social media “does a disservice” to kids in their early teen years, Yahoo reported.

I, personally, based on the data I’ve seen, believe that 13 is too early,” Murthy said. “It’s a time where it’s really important for us to be thoughtful about what’s going into how they think about their own self-worth and their relationships and the skewed and often distorted environment of social media often does a disservice to many of those children.”

AI “singularity” only 7 years away trend shows

The “singularity,” sometimes described as a “technological singularity,” refers to a hypothetical point in time in the future when the development of artificial intelligence will make human civilization obsolete as technology becomes uncontrollable and irreversible. According to a study of trends in artificial intelligence, the researchers believe we could reach the singularity in less than a decade, likely within just 7 years, Yahoo reported.

Priscilla Presley contesting Marie’s will

Priscilla Presley is challenging the validity of the will belonging to her late daughter Lisa Marie. Attorneys for Priscilla filed a petition disputing a 2016 amendment to her daughter’s will, which states that Lisa Marie removed her mother and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees and replaced them with her children, Riley and Benjamin Keough. The petition alleges Priscilla did not receive the amendment while her daughter was alive as required by her Trust, as well as was not witnessed or notarized, among other issues that question the authenticity of Lisa Marie’s signature, CNN reported.
