Where Is McKamey Manor?

The haunted house is run by Russ McKamey, and he cleverly named it “McKamey Manor”. It originally started as something he ran out of his backyard, but since blowing up in popularity, it’s gotten a little bigger than he himself can manage.

There are two locations – one in Nashville, Tennesee, and one in Huntsville, Alabama. You must be 21 or older to make a run at the Alabama one, but if you’re willing to travel to Tennesee, you can be 18-20 with a parental signature.

Russ has spent more than $1 million between the two locations and admits that it isn’t the traditional Halloween experience.

“I’m a very straight-laced conservative guy, but here I run this crazy haunted house that people this is this torture factory…” He said.

What You Need to Even Enter the Haunted House

This isn’t like a fun Saturday afternoon attempt – Russ McKamey takes this very seriously and expects you to as well.

In order to enter, you must be willing to sign a 40-page waiver that goes over how McKamey Manor isn’t responsible for your fear, bodily injuries, or other disastrous things. More than one person has said that they believe they were drugged, and another went to the hospital with “extensive” injuries… not for the faint of heart.

You need to undergo a “sports physical” and provide a note from your doctor stating that you are both mentally and physically fit enough to make it through this.

After that, you’ll be screened via Facetime call to ensure you’re a real person, and when you come on-site, you’ll need to bring proof of medical insurance. Because you will need it. You will also be asked to take a drug test the day of to prove you’re sober before entering.

The cost to get in? Just a bag of dog food for one of Russ’s dogs. So, not a bad entrance fee, all things considered.

Before you can go in, you need to watch a 2-hour long video of the torture those before you have undergone, with a voice in the background repeating “you don’t want to do this”.

If you can be the first to make it through, you’ll get a cool $20,000 and the rewarding feeling of being the first. The current record for longest time goes to a woman who lasted a total of 6 hours before saying her safe word.

Can you make it longer?
