Trump gave a speech on Monday from the North Lawn of the White House where he talked about the four freshmen Congresswomen recently elected, how Ilhan Omar apparently supports al Qaeda and how she’s downplayed the 9/11 attacks as minor actions by ‘some people.’
What Trump also did, however, was flash his crib notes to the press. And in bold lettering on the top corner, one word sticks out – ‘Alcaida.’
Is this how the president thinks al Qaeda is spelled?
In addition to his questionable spelling, his crib notes included important talking points for the day, including notations about how ‘we saved’ Omar (spelled Ohmar) from a dangerous situation, how “they” want America to be “SOCIALIST” (his emphasis, not ours), and how you can leave if you are unhappy, which doubles down on his previous statements about the ‘Squad.’
Another highlight of Monday’s speech was when a reporter asked the President if he was worried that many people saw his comments as racist. His reply was that it “doesn’t concern” him because many people agree with what he is saying.
