In the past few weeks, the United States has seen some of the highest rates of unemployment ever recorded. Millions of people filed for unemployment by the end of March, and the month of April it is expected to get even worse. The economy is taking a downward turn, and people are scared of where their next meal or paycheck is going to come from. Is there hope, in this economy, for the average person?
The good news is yes, even the most critical of economists are positive that the economy will bounce back. The problem isn’t if, it’s when. The longer businesses are closed, the longer it will take for companies to bounce back, and the worse the economy will be.
Some are hopeful that we could return to business as usual by as soon as next month, but others are wary of “reopening the country” too soon. One thing is for sure – there is hope, this mass unemployment won’t be forever, and new jobs will be cropping up soon. The only worry is how long it will be until then.
