Former Vice President and presumed Democratic nominee for President Joe Biden has made it no secret that he would like a woman as his own VP, when he announces one. In the past few weeks with the Black Lives Matter movement taking over the country, many have called for Biden, a picture of white privilege, to ask a person of color to run with him.
His choice? Apparently, Michelle Obama.
At a campaign stop in Iowa this week, Biden was first asked if he would consider appointing Obama to the Supreme Court. He agreed, but said he didn’t “think he would do it”.
“Second question is – which Obama?” He was asked after, to the crowd’s enjoyment.
“Well, I should would like Michelle to be the vice president,” He said, laughing. “They’re both incredibly qualified.”
Sadly, Michelle has said several times that she has no interest in running for office – her time as the First Lady with Barack was enough politics to last her. Right now, Biden has floated many names as potential running mates, but hasn’t settled on anyone.
