Michael Cohen Released from Prison Due to COVID-19

Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, has been informed by the federal Bureau of Prisons that he will be released early from prison due to COVID-19.

Cohen is currently at the federal prison camp in Otisville, NY where he is serving a three-year sentence. So far, seven staff members and 14 inmates have tested positive for the virus.

He was supposed to be released in November 2021, but will now spend the remainder of his sentence in home confinement. Cohen will undergo a 14-day quarantine before release.

Cohen’s lawyer, Roger Adler, confirmed the pending release to CNN. In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations. He also pleaded guilty to tax fraud and lying to Congress.

Michael Avenatti has also been granted a temporary 90-day release. He was known for representing Stormy Daniels.

Meat Producers Beg USDA to Buy Meat and Speed Up Stimulus Payments

As meat-processing companies across the United States are shutting down, meat producers are asking the Trump administration to buy more meat.

Recent closures, including the closure of the largest pork-processing facility in the US, has put pressure on meat suppliers and farmers who raise livestock.

A spokesperson for the National Pork Producers Council, Jim Rowe, said:

“You see pig values plummet significantly, so for many of our farmers, right now it costs more to care for the animal than the value of the hog. So our farmers are in a dire situation.”

Last week, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue tweeted:

“[We’re] using all financial resources we have been given to develop a program that will include direct payments to farmers & ranchers hurt by COVID-19 & other procurement methods to help solidify the supply chain from producers to consumers.”

However, on Tuesday a USDA spokesperson said, “Details on the program will be forthcoming shortly.” So far, the program has not been finalized.

Joe Exotic May Be Getting His Own Prison Radio Show

The star of Netflix’s hit documentary series “Tiger King,” the eccentric Joe Exotic, might finally see his dreams of fame come true – but not the way he expected.

Dillon Passage, Exotic’s husband, has revealed that the jailed Tiger King could soon be getting his very own radio show. Yes, while behind bars.

Dillon said in a recent interview with Metro: “This radio station here in the US wants him to have his own radio show from inside the prison. So we’ll see what happens with that. It’s kind of mind-blowing.”

Here’s hoping the prison has good cell service in order to make the radio show happen.
