Hillary Clinton Backs Down on Sanders Statement; Man Gets Arrested to Avoid Getting Married; Determined Man Walks 1000 Miles in Teensy Speedo’s for Charity; Greta Thunberg Calls Out Trump Over Empty Promise
After Hillary Clinton made scathing remarks about Bernie Sanders on Tuesday, she has already stepped back her stance after the resulting media backlash in favor of Sanders.
She went on Twitter to say, “I thought everyone wanted my authentic, unvarnished views! But to be serious, the number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee.”
When Sanders was asked what he thought about Clinton’s comments about him, he said, “On a good day, my wife likes me, so let’s clear the air on that one.”
He was then asked why Clinton was still rehashing the 2016 election, to which Sanders replied, “That’s a good question. You should ask her.”

The soon-to-be groom in question, Mr. Chen, so desperately didn’t want to get married to his girlfriend that he decided to commit a crime to get her to back off. So what was his big crime? He stole a speaker from a dance studio.
After getting caught by local authorities, he told them, “My girlfriend wants to get married, but I don’t want to. I knew you would find me, though I didn’t think it would be so fast.”
Chen’s hope was that his girlfriend would be so disappointed in him that she’d leave him.

Mick Cullen, otherwise known as Speedo Mick, set out last month in nothing but a teensy Speedo in the name of charity. His goal? To raise $130,000 for Leave the Light On by walking 1000 miles in his skivvies.
Why Speedo’s, you might ask? He said, “It’s the dead of winter, I wanted to ramp it up a bit. I’ve swam the English Channel, so I wanted something new. A lot of people do this walk and a lot do it much faster, but no one has ever done it in Speedo’s before.”
We’re happy to report that not only has he already met his goal, he’s exceeded it!

After Donald Trump announced that America would join the One Trillion Trees initiative, which aims to help combat climate change by planting trees worldwide, Greta Thunberg decided to point out that his support of coal and oil aren’t exactly compatible with the idea.
“We’re not telling you to offset your emissions by paying someone to plant trees in somewhere like Africa, while at the same time forests like the Amazon are being slaughtered at an infinitely higher rate,” said Thunberg.
“Planting trees is good, of course, but it’s nowhere near enough of what is needed and it cannot replace real mitigation.”
