Watch 24 Christmas movies in 12 days, and CenturyLink will pay you $1,000. Want to find out how you can apply for this “seasonal job?” CenturyLink, an internet service provider, is seeking out a very special candidate for this very important project.
“We’re looking for a lover of all things Christmas, G-Rated romcoms, and too-close-to-home family dramas to watch 24 Hallmark Christmas movies in 12 days. If you think that’s you, we’ll give you $1,000 to critique a lineup of festive guilty pleasures,” CenturyLink writes.
“We want you to have opinions–lots of them! Think the grumpy Grandpa turned jolly Santa was a little overdone? Felt like the plot was a bit half-baked? Be as honest as possible in your review.”
CenturyLink will provide its new hire with a package of Christmas essentials. These include:
And, of course, the greatest gift of all: permission to stay in bed for 12 straight days watching movies, telling anyone who questions you about it, “I’m WORKING.”
As with any job, CenturyLink has a few requirements they expect to be made clear on an application.
CenturyLink wants the binge-watcher to publicize their reviews on any and all platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube–whatever it takes to get the community involved.
The company is accepting applications through Friday, December 6, 2019. The winner will be notified within 5 days after that.
If you want to make your application stand out, CenturyLink recommends including a brief video that showcases just how hard you Christmas.
If you’ve got an ugly Christmas sweater, inflatable Santas and snowmen in your yard, a secret eggnog recipe, and a constant stream of Christmas hits blasting out of your stereo, you should show it off in your video. You’ll be more likely to win if you prove that you’re a true Christmas lover.
You also need to have some background in watching Hallmark movies. The cheesier and the Christmas-ier, the better.
And yes, CenturyLink promises to pay their lucky winner $1,000. That’s enough to make anyone’s Christmas a little more merry and bright.
“That’s it. No ifs, ands, or buts. You watch, and we pay!” CenturyLink writes.
