Comedian, star of TVs Full House, and the original host of America’s Funniest Home Videos (AFV), Bob Saget, 65, was found dead in his room at the Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. A judge ordered his immediate release from immigration detention, and for his visa to be reinstated, the BBC reported. Last week, Djokovic, 34, was detained over the country’s vaccine mandate. The athlete said he plans to stay in Australia to “try to compete” in the Australian open and defend his title, NBC reported.
During landscaping work at the Rutland Water Nature Reserve, a fossil 10 meters in length was found, the remains of a sea predator called an ichthyosaur. The BBC reports it is the largest of its type ever discovered in the UK. The initial discovery was made in February 2021, when a worker spotted something odd poking out of the mud. A team of paleontologists was called in. The results of their investigation are only now being released to the public. The scientists say the fossil is an ichthyosaur, a warm-blooded sea predator not unlike dolphins that breathed air. Ichthyosaurs could reach a length of 25 meters and lived between 250 million and 90 million years ago.
Authorities say that the worst fire in New York City in 30 years was caused by a faulty space heater in a bedroom, the Daily Mail reported. The fire broke out on the third floor of a 19-story building in the Bronx. Allegedly, a panicked family fled their apartment fire, leaving the front door open, which allowed the blaze to travel to every floor. Nineteen people are confirmed dead, nine of which are children. At least 63 people were injured, dozens of which were trampled as residents rushed to escape the flames. According to firefighters, people were found “on every floor, and stairways.”
