A Florida man might need to call professional help after an incident involving a robot vacuum.
Ryan Landy of Coral Springs, Florida thought it was going to be a day just like any other day when he set his Roomba device to automatically vacuum his floors, but his newly adopted dog had different plans for him.
The new puppy managed to open the door to where the Roomba was located and proceeded to poop on the floor. The Roomba, just doing what it was programmed to do, ended up running over the poop and smearing it all over the floor.
Ryan posted to social media, joking that he might need therapy after the poop incident. I wouldn’t blame him!
Not only did the Roomba smear dog poop all over the floor, Ryan now has to completely disassemble the Roomba to deep clean it.
Unfortunately for pet owners everywhere, this “poopocalypse” incident isn’t all that uncommon. When Ryan posted about it in a forum, he was met with plenty of other pet owners sharing their similar experiences.
Members have also been making jokes about Ryan needing to buy a new Roomba to clean up the old Roomba, or possibly just buy a new home.
A representative from iRobot, the Roomba manufacturer, said that disasters like this happen pretty regularly. “With animals anything can happen.”
