The baby boy was given a shocking name after sharing videos from the delivery room and pictures of the new family. Rose has one other child with ex-husband Wiz Khalifa, but that boy got a “normal” name – Sebastian.
So why did she name her new child something so absurdly differently?
Amber and her boyfriend, Alexander ‘A.E.’ Edwards, both have shared about their new bundle of joy on social media, and A.E. posted a loving thanks to Rose for bringing his son into the world.
“Thank u @amberrose for loving me so much that u put ur body thru it 2 bring my sun in2 the world. I could never be as strong as u. Slash is a rockstar’.
Yes, Slash. Oh, did we forget to mention?
Rose and Edwards named their brand new baby boy “Slash Electric Alexander Edwards”. That’s a mouthful, even for a Hollywood name.
Amber Rose didn’t hide from fans the fact that she had a rough pregnancy. The model shared last month that she had hit– and exceeded – her 9-months with Slash, and was so large that she could barely move around.
“It’s not a game, that’s a big boy in there … I’m pretty much on bed rest at this point”.
“I can’t walk that well. My ankles got a little swollen; my feet got a little swollen. But for the most part, I’m all belly.”
That’s true, too! Posts on her Instagram show Amber is 85% pregnancy belly, which some old wives tales say that is how you can tell it’s a boy.
The model also suffered from Hyperemesis with both of her pregnancies, which is an extreme form of morning sickness. Dehydration, weight loss, severe nausea, and vomiting are all typical of this condition.
Amber Rose shared a lot of her pregnancy on her social media. She has almost 19 million followers on Instagram alone and used her platform to document the journey of motherhood a second time.
On her Instagram story, she posted a picture of Edwards in a full hospital getup with the caption “it’s time!”. She also had previously shown Edwards and her first son, Sebastian, 6, playing rock paper scissors while waiting.
According to Rose, Sebastian is very excited to be a big brother.
