Forbes has released its annual list of the wealthiest celebrities for 2018, with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg topping the list, which also includes Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Kylie Jenner, Jay-Z and more.

Here are the ten celebrities who possess the most wealth, with ties occurring at 5th and 10th place.

1. George Lucas, $5.4 billion

It’s no surprise that the director of the Star Wars Empire would make the list, but it was his selling of LucasFilm to Disney that placed him on top. The sale of the studio in 2012 earned Lucas $4.1 billion.

2. Steven Spielberg, $3.7 billion

Spielberg is arguably the most successful director in the history of movies. In 2018’s “Ready Player One” was among his profitable projects, grossing better than a half billion dollars, amassing $582,218,455 thus far. No doubt, the acquisition of his DreamWorks Animation also helped.

3. Oprah Winfrey, $2.8 billion

Oprah’s wealth was further increased by her investment in Weight Watchers.

4. Michael Jordan, $1.7 billion

It wasn’t Jordan’s basketball career that was so lucrative, but his line of sneakers that has helped him amass such a huge fortune, as well as, his 90% stake in the Charlotte Hornets basketball team, which is valued at an estimated $800 million.

5. Kylie Jenner, $900 million (tie)

The 21-year-old “lip kit” Empress makes this list for the first time. Since launching her Kylie Cosmetics brand two years ago, Jenner has forged an empire that has earned more than $630 million.

5. Jay-Z, $900 million (tie)

It’s not rap, but businesses that has built the most wealth for Jay-Z. He holds stakes in several companies, including Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Ussé cognac. These two holdings added $90 million from where he was in 2017.

7. David Copperfield, $875 million

Copperfield’s greatest magic might be his ability to build wealth.

8. Diddy, $825 million

Most of his money comes from outside of music. Combs sold his Sean John clothing line, Ciroc vodka and the stakes he holds in companies that includes Revolt TV and DeLeón tequila have paid off.

9. Tiger Woods, $800 million

The golfer’s bottom line is on the upswing again after he won his first major victory in five years this September.

9. James Patterson. $800 million

The prolific author cranks out more content than any other novelist, mainly by co-authoring (and some allege a secretive use of ghostwriters who work under his name). As a result of his numerous titles, his book sales are through the roof.
