Snoop Dogg’s Lullaby Album for Babies Being Released

If you’ve ever thought to yourself ‘boy, I wish I could have Snoop Dogg here to sing my baby to sleep’, well, you’ll soon be able to have the closest thing to it! Snoop Dogg is re-releasing some of his absolute hottest tracks as lullaby’s for babies to fall asleep to.

This isn’t a joke, y’all – we’re very far away from April 1. You missed the vinyl release of the tracks, which happened last month, but the full album is set to drop on December 6, just in time for Christmas.

Would You Sing Gin and Juice to Your Child?

Don’t get it twisted here, this isn’t a collection of new songs that are baby-appropriate. You can expect to hear Snoop Dogg classics like “Gin and Juice”, “Drop it like it’s Hot”, and “Sensual Seduction” on Rockabye Baby! lullaby renditions of snoop dogg.

But no, you won’t have to sing “all we ever do, is play in the sheets” to your child. This is actually a collection of instrumental versions of his best songs, tweaked to appeal to a much younger audience. No cursing, no “M” rated lyrics.

The album is being handled by Rockabye Baby! Music, who is no stranger to this very specific genre. They have previously done lullaby instrumentals of artists like Kanye West and Eminem. So if you’re not a huge Snoop fan, there are other rap lullabies out there for your children to enjoy.

The album drops the 6th of this month, but the vinyl version was only available last month for preorder to celebrate National Record Store Day. But that’s okay – a baby probably can’t appreciate the difference in quality, anyway.

Snoop Dogg is Over Making Money, Wants to Make Music

Snoop Dogg, who is 48 now and is worth nearly $150 million, said that he is over making money and tracks that sell big and more into “good music” now.

“I love the way that good music feels,” He explained in an interview. Recently he has won several awards for his gospel record, which tracked very well in the Christian music billboards, and has been dealing with the loss of his grandchild, Kai.

We can’t be the first to wonder if this release coincides with that passing a little too closely. Kai, the son of Corde Broadus, passed away in September of this year. With it came mourning from the whole family, including Snoop’s life, who shared a touching video on her Instagram singing.

You can preorder the CD or MP3 version of the album on Rockabye Baby!’s website now for $17. What a steal, honestly.
