Politician Rips Massive Fart on Live Television, then Denies It

During a live interview on television, Eric Swalwell, who is a US Representative for the Democratic party from California, made a big mistake that is getting him a lot of media attention. It isn’t because he has a great message, or is doing good work.

Instead, it’s because he ripped a giant fart on live television… and went on to deny that it happened!

Sir, this isn’t just a case of ‘He who smelt it, dealt it’. There is clear video evidence that Swalwell is the origin of this sound. Maybe he has a case of ‘anxious stomach’ when going on live TV?

The Evidence is Clear: This Politician Farted on TV

This representative was on MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews” talking about the impeachment hearings and Trump’s involvement when it happens.

Swalwell is mid-sentence when the fart hits him. We would love to give Swalwell the benefit of the doubt in this situation because we’ve all been there, but he outs himself during the taping!

There is a clear and distinct pause in his words as the sound is heard, and the look in the man’s eyes says it all – he knew it was coming, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

“…So far the evidence is uncontradicted that the president used taxpayer dollars to help him cheat-“ here’s the pause, where his body moves slightly and the panic in his eyes says it all. “an election.”

The fart was not quiet, either. Those mics are sensitive, sure, but even in person we think that gas would have been a doozy.

Swalwell Has The Audacity to Deny it was Him!

Amazingly, despite all evidence, Swalwell still denies that he was the one who let it rip. He told a Buzzfeed reporter after the interview that “it was not me!! … And I didn’t hear it when I was speaking.”

Okay, that’s a bad lie, even from a politician. Maybe he didn’t review the tape before making that claim.

The MSNBC program “Hardball” released their own statement, taking the blame off of Swalwell and putting it on themselves. They claim it was a “#hardball mug scraping across the desk.”

Sure. Whatever you say, MSNBC.

The Internet Loves a Good Fart Joke

Poor Swalwell, who just wanted to be taken as a Serious Politician, is now the butt of internet jokes everywhere.

Twitter has dubbed the incident “#FartGate”, and it trended for several hours on the social media site. One user said that the “slight pause as he realizes he can’t hold it in any longer is pure gold”.

“It is real you can tell the pause he takes to push it out,” another joked.
