The IRS recently confirmed that eligible people who have yet to receive their stimulus checks should be expecting them soon. The department confirmed that millions of people still waiting on their $1,400 relief checks should be seeing them mailed out or direct deposited soon.
The direct payments, which were authorized in a recently passed bill in Congress, were a major legislative push of the new administration. As the direct payments go out, people making $75,000 or less per year will be eligible for the full $1,400.
The same goes for married couples filing jointly who make less than $150,000 per year, though the payments phase out if you make above that. For single people, they phase out entirely when you’re making $80,000 per year, and likewise for married couples at $160,000 per year.
If you haven’t gotten yours yet, you can check the IRS website to see the status of your relief check and when you can expect to receive it.
