CA Looters Stole 29 Guns: $10k Reward for Help in Investigation

Peaceful protests for police reform and justice for George Floyd, Ahamud Arbery and Breonna Taylor have had to fight away the negative attention rioting and looting has brought to their cause. Amid protests, groups of rioters and looters have broken into stores to steal and destroy.

In Santa Monica, CA, officials need help finding looters who stole dangerous weapons. The suspects stole a scary amount of firearms from a Big 5 Sporting Goods Store.

Reward Offered for Help in Finding Looters

On Sunday, “A group of unidentified suspects … used a crowbar and a sledgehammer to break the windows and utilized bolt cutters to cut the metal roll down gate,” according to Ginger Colbrun. “They opened the emergency exit door of the business to gain entry to the business. Once inside, the suspects stole 29 firearms from the business.”

Folks in Santa Monica and the surrounding area who have helpful information can earn up to $10,000 in reward money. ATF Los Angeles and the National Shooting Sports Foundation each pledged $5,000 to fund the reward.
