Former Mythbusters Host Dies Suddenly

Grant Imahara suddenly died at the age of 49, reportedly from a brain aneurysm. Shortly after the news broke, the Discovery Channel issued a statement:

“We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”

Grant was known as a roboticist and electrical engineer. He joined Mythbusters during the third season and continued in his role until 2014. During his time on Mythbusters, they explored many situations, such as whether bottled water or tap water is cleaner.

Adam Savage, Grant’s colleague, posted the heartache over his loss on social media:

“I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist, and performer. But, also just such a generous, easygoing and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.”

‘Glee’ Actress Found Dead, Saved Her Son but Wasn’t Able to Save Herself

Last week, “Glee” Actress Naya Rivera was presumed dead when her young son was found alone on a boat. On Monday, Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub confirmed that her body has been found.

“She mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself,” said Ayub.

The actress’s body was found floating in the northeast area of the lake. In that location, the water is between 35 and 60 feet deep. Her body was discovered after a six-day search.

However, although the investigators are “confident” the body is hers, the Ventura County Coroner’s Office will further identify the body through dental records.

Ayub revealed that Rivera’s family has been “in direct contact” with the sheriff’s department.

“Her family has been at the lake every day holding out hope and communicating with our investigators,” he said.

Other former members of the “Glee” cast were quick to post their condolences on social media following the news.

“How can you convey all your love and respect for someone in one post?” wrote Chris Colfer on Instagram, who played the role of Kurt. “How can you summarize a decade of friendship and laughter with words alone? If you were friends with Naya Rivera, you simply can’t.”

In summary, the Glee cast has once again experienced a terrible loss.
